OJ: “Like there was ever any doubt I killed [my wife]”

(TCC) - In a shocking and unexpected response to a reporter early this morning, OJ Simpson told the journalist, “I don’t know why the media is making such a big deal about my arrest… like there was every any doubt I was capable of this after I killed my wife.”

The question Simpson was responding to asked him whether this will change people’s perception of the controversial football star, especially amongst those that believed he had been innocent of the murder of his wife and friend in the monumental court case back in 1994.

Simpson has recently come under fire for hinting at his guiltiness, especially with regards to his latest book that was pulled from publication “If I Did it, Here’s How it Happened.” But because of the criminal justice system, once aquitted of a crime it remains impossible to be prosecuted again for that crime.

Therefore, OJ Simpson has a certain level of immunity when discussing matters such as his innocence - but the public certainly doesn’t ignore comments such as these.

“I think it’s clear that Mr. Simpson has all but confessed to the murder of his wife,” said criminal lawyer Jack Armstrong. “You don’t write a book about it if you were innocent.”

OJ Simpson awaits trial for the robbery of sports paraphenelia.
