Poll suggests Linux does NOT make “a world of difference”

(NCN) - Linux users are known for their diehard enthusiasm and unwavering support for the obscure OS, with phrases such as “I’d rather die than use Windows” and “Linux really makes a world of difference” being common, but a recent online poll conducted by TekKing Inc discovered that using Linux does not actually make a “world of difference.”

In fact, using Linux hasn’t changed the world all that much outside of the digital world. For instance, the airline and plumbing industries remain largely unaffected by Linux. And though age-old practices such as parenting and marriage haven’t been affected by Linux, it has been discovered that Linux does make a difference with regards to birth control as it’s users have an uncommonly low rate for creating unwanted pregnancies.

The poll also discovered that despite the extreme zealotry, most Linux users would not “rather die” than use another OS, such as Windows XP or Mac’s OSX. Indeed, when their life is threatened, not one participant in the poll even hesitated to change OS.

This discovery sheds doubt on the legitimacy of the Linux user’s devotion and even questions the Linux OS’s reputation of being “the best thing ever created” as it competes with such world-changing inventions as the printing press and antibiotics.
