A human-like baby android has been developed in Japan by famous scientists Minoru Asada and Hiroshi Ishiguro.

The android can supposedly talk, hear and feel. By using sensors in the androids skin, it responds to touches and can recognize faces with its eyes.

But the android acts like a baby and therefore is pretty limited in its actions, even though its expressions and movements are eerily true-to-life.

What might make this an even better story is if the thing learnt to think and act on its own before going into a killing frenzy and requiring government intervention to stop it.
