Bill Clinton Supports His Wife: “Best [Female] Candidate Ever.”

Check out this article. I still don’t know who I’m voting for yet:

BILL: “HILLARY THE MOST QUALIFIED [FEMALE]”

Posted 12:39:07

NEW YORK - In a news conference earlier today, former President Bill Clinton said of his wife Hillary that she is easily “the most qualified [woman] running for presidency.”

The compliment comes after criticisms that Bill hadn’t been publically supporting wife Hillary Rodham Clinton enough, thus casting doubt on whether or not Mr. Clinton believes she is qualified. But that doubt was put to rest when he repeatedly expressed his support.

“I simply don’t know of any other [female] candidate running in the 2008 election that even comes close to rivaling Senator Clinton in terms of experience, prowess or popularity,” President Clinton said. “Simply put, Hillary could quite possibly be the most qualified [woman] politician today.”

The comments couldn’t have come at a more opportune time for Senator Clinton as a recent round of attacks and jeers in the popular media have led many to favor her [male] conterparts. Among the leaders of the other candidates running for President is [African-American] Barack Obama, who faced similar criticism but has since enjoyed the privilege of being backed by such political heavyweights as Reverend Al Sharpton who issued his support by saying “There is simply no other [black] man in the world who could rival Obama’s bid for Presidency. Think about it.”

When asked if he believes Obama would make a good President, the Reverend replied “He’d make the best damn [black] President I can think of and I have no doubt he’d go down as the best [black] President in America’s history.”

On the other hand, other Democratic hopefuls have been suffering from support that lacks the same enthusiasm.

A recent NY Times columnist described John Edwards as a “Great candidate… but in terms of the best [white] Presidential candidate… he has a lot of [white male] competition.”

Similar criticisms have plagued all of the Republican party candidates.

And so it is not surprising then, that in concluding his speech today, President Clinton told the audience “Try comparing Senator Clinton to any other [female] running and I’ll bet you that they don’t have a chance against my wife. In fact, I’d be willing to go so far as to say that more than any [female] Democrat OR Republican in this country’s history, my wife is the most qualified [female] candidate that has ever been considered for President… ever. Period.”

Strong words, Bill. Only time will tell how accurate they are.
